Cohal, is one of the most famous ukulele player and singer in Japan.
She won the grand prize of the Japanese biggest ukulele contest, The Ukulele Contest in 2013.
Then she was invited to the annual International Ukulele Contest in Hawaii in 2014 and won the MVP. Which entitled her to play at the main stage of the Ukulele Picnic held at the Kakaako Park in Oahu, Hawaii on the following day.
She appeared on the pages of newspapers, TV shows and radio shows many times.
She was nominated for the Na Hoku Hanohano Award (Best Hawaiian Music Award )in 2014.
She is a ukulele player, singer and songwriter, holding shows almost every week at local cafes and other venues. She plays at resort hotels, festivals and other public events.
She has released 2 CDs and an ukulele instruction DVD.
She teaches ukulele at her own school in Kanagawa prefecture in Japan. She has about 100 students from 6 to 85 years old.
She has established the first and largest ukulele marching band in Japan in 2015. The Shounan Ukulele Marching band plays and sings in the parade of Fujisawa City Festival every year since then.
She wants to bring heartwarming music by ukulele and her voice.
She travels across Japan and foreign countries to spread her world of sounds.
